Tomáš Prouza is an experienced leader in commerce, tourism, and EU affairs, currently serving as the President of the Confederation of Commerce and Tourism of the Czech Republic since October 2018, and as the Special Envoy for the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union at the Ministry of Industry and Trade since February 2022. Prouza holds multiple vice-presidential roles, including Vice President of EuroCommerce and Vice President at Hospodářská komora České republiky. As Managing Director of EU Politics Advisory since September 2017, Prouza provides consultancy on EU policies and the digital economy. Previous roles include Advisor to the Prime Minister and Coordinator of the Digital Agenda of the Czech Republic, where Prouza led significant digital transformation efforts. Prouza has also held senior positions at the World Bank, focusing on financial inclusion and consumer protection. Educational qualifications include a degree in international relations from Prague University of Economics and Business and an MBA from The Open University.
