Eitan Weiss is a seasoned diplomat currently serving as the Director of the Export Control Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel since December 2008. Weiss is recognized as the creator and head of the Metaverse project for Israel, alongside leading various specialized public relations and diplomacy initiatives. Previous roles include Deputy Chief of Mission at the Consulate General of Israel in Los Angeles, where partnership strategies were developed to enhance diplomatic and economic relations, and Head of Public Diplomacy at the Israeli embassy in Ottawa, managing media representation and social media channels. Additional experience includes promoting economic ties in Moscow and representing national interests in public diplomacy. Eitan Weiss's educational background includes an M.A. in Conflict Resolution from Tel Aviv University and a B.A. in International Relations and Political Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prior to diplomatic roles, Weiss worked as a flight attendant for EL AL Israel Airlines and held positions in customer service and military intelligence.
