Irma Kaljulaid

Deputy Head Of Mission at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia

Irma Kaljulaid has extensive experience in policy advisory roles, currently serving as a Policy Advisor in cyber-security at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia since April 2020. Prior to this position, Kaljulaid worked at NATO from July 2018 to April 2020 focusing on emerging security challenges, and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia from February 2017 to June 2018 on security policy during the Estonian EU Presidency. Kaljulaid's background includes a role as a Press Officer at the European Commission from September 2013 to January 2017, addressing foreign affairs and security policy. Additional experience encompasses election observation, political affairs, human rights, communication, public affairs, and translation. Kaljulaid holds a Master's degree in European Union Law and a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, complemented by a minor in International and Intercultural Communication.
