Roy Xiao is an Associate at the Ministry of Finance (Singapore) since January 2024, contributing to the Economic Programmes Directorate. Prior experience includes serving as a Combat Medic in the Republic of Singapore Air Force from July 2022 to January 2024, where responsibilities encompassed administrative operations and military medical support. Previous intern experience at the Ministry of Finance (Singapore) in 2020 involved collaboration with the Fiscal Policy and Corporate Communications Directorates, especially aiding the Comms & Engagement, Quality Service Management, and Jobs Support Scheme teams. Academically, Roy holds a Master of Arts in Quantitative Methods & Social Analysis from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Economic History with Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Educational background includes completing the A Levels in the Humanities Programme and a High School Diploma from Hwa Chong Institution.
