Liam Carson is a seasoned economist with a robust background in economic research and analysis, currently serving as a Senior Economist (ODI Fellow) at the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development since September 2019. Prior experience includes roles as an Emerging Markets Economist at Capital Economics from October 2014 to August 2019, and as a Research Assistant at iDE UK, where Liam focused on innovative products for the Bottom of the Pyramid market. Further contributions were made as an Economic Researcher at the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, leading a multinational team in a study on tax rates and competitiveness, utilizing econometric analysis to inform policy recommendations.
