Dr. Gal Zagron began their work experience in 2012 at the Ministry of Health Israel, where they established himself as the first Veterinary Physician in the Jerusalem District. Dr. Gal'sfocus was on Veterinary Public Health, particularly food-borne diseases, food safety, and hazard analysis. Dr. Gal held this position until 2019. In 2019, they transitioned to the Ministry of Environmental Protection as the Head of Pest Control and Pesticides Division, overseeing vector control and pest management at a national level.
Dr. Gal Zagron completed their education in a chronological order. They obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology, Psychology, Mathematics & Computer Science from Bar-Ilan University, which they attended from 1999 to 2002.
Following this, Dr. Zagron pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Neurobiology and Neurosciences at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they studied from 2003 to 2006.
Finally, they earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in Veterinary Medicine from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, completing their studies from 2006 to 2011.
In addition to these educational qualifications, Dr. Zagron also obtained several certifications. These include completing a Mediation course for managers from the Ministry of Health Israel in 2019, Basic HACCP certification from USDA-FSIS, Certified HACCP Auditor (CHA) certification from the European Commission, and FSPCA Preventative Controls for Human Food Course certification from the FDA, all in 2017.
Dr. Zagron also completed the MEPIET - Middle East Program for Interventional Epidemiology Training offered by the Ministry of Health Israel in 2014. Furthermore, they received a Certificate in Teaching Biology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2009.
