Ensuring coordinated national inputs into the implementation of the East African Community (EAC) Customs Union, the Common Market, Monetary Union, and Political Federation;

Coordinating the harmonization of EAC Sectoral activities, policies, projects and programmes;

Liaising with the Public and Private Sectors, Non-Governmental Organisations, Civil Society, and other stakeholders on East African Community matters;

Maintaining and enhancing linkages between EAC Organs, Institutions, and Ugandan Ministries and Institutions.

The Mandate of MEACA is to “steer Uganda’s regional integration agenda in accordance with the objectives of the Treaty for Establishment of East African Community”
