Alex Bass is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial management across various sectors, including health and disability services. Currently serving as Finance Manager at the Ministry for Primary Industries since August 2022, Alex previously held similar roles at Wellington Free Ambulance and the New Zealand Racing Board. Other notable positions include Business Services Manager at Tourism Industry Aotearoa and Principal Analyst for District Health Boards New Zealand, where Alex provided financial advice for health sector initiatives. Alex holds a Diploma in Accountancy from the Open Polytechnic of NZ and has a foundational education from the University of Otago and Otago Boys' High School.
