Raquel Vargas Jaubert is a legal expert with extensive experience in international judicial cooperation and migration law. Currently serving as the Encargada de Cooperaci贸n Judicial Internacional at the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto de Costa Rica since March 2023, Raquel coordinates international judicial assistance requests and oversees extradition processes. Previously, Raquel held several prominent positions at the Direcci贸n General de Migraci贸n y Extranjer铆a, including Director General from May 2018 to May 2022 and Jefa de Unidad de Visas Restringidas. Early career roles included legal assistant at Bufete Uma帽a & Asociados and academic assistant at the Universidad de Costa Rica. Raquel holds a Licenciatura in Derecho from the Universidad de Costa Rica and a specialization in project management from the Tecnol贸gico de Costa Rica.
