Catalina Carvajal Rivera is a geologist with extensive experience in geological assistance, sampling, and underground mine mapping, currently serving at the Ministerio de MinerÃa as part of the Seremi de MinerÃa in Atacama since July 2020. Previous roles include a position as a memorista in hydrogeology at Universidad Andrés Bello and practical experience in geology under the supervision of Dr. Mauricio Calderón Nettle and archaeologist Luca Itzia. Catalina has also contributed to educational programs as a cooperator for a geology workshop at Colegio Parroquial San Miguel and as a teaching assistant for a paleontology course at Universidad Andrés Bello. Educational qualifications include a Geologist degree and diplomas in Applied Hydrogeology and Public Policies from prestigious Chilean universities.
