Paula Conthe Calvo serves as the Secretary General of the Treasury and International Financing at the Ministerio de Economía, Comercio y Empresa since January 2024. Previously, Paula held multiple roles at FROB from November 2015 to January 2024, including Chair, Director of Resolution and Strategy, and Head of the Policy, Resolution and Strategy Department. Between April 2012 and October 2015, Paula was Subdirectora General Adjunta and Consejera Técnica at SG Asuntos Económicos y Financieros de la Zona Euro. Paula also chaired the EWG Task Force on Coordinated Action from November 2013 to March 2015 and served as Jefa de Servicio at SG de Fomento Financiero de la Internacionalización from November 2010 to March 2012. Paula began their career as a consultant in the International Department at Analistas Financieros Internacionales from September 2003 to June 2007. Paula holds a BSc in International Affairs with a focus on International Economics from Georgetown University and a degree homologation in Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
