Antonio Hernandez Huetos, PEng, currently serves as the Honorary Consul of Spain in Alberta and Northwest Territories at the Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores, Unión Europea y Cooperación, where responsibilities include supporting the Spanish community and enhancing commercial, economic, and cultural relations between Canada and Spain. As a Business Development Manager at Cartago Consulting Ltd since January 2017, Antonio focuses on expanding operations and capturing business opportunities across Canada, the USA, and Mexico. Antonio also holds board positions with the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Canada and the Spain-Canada Chamber of Commerce, promoting trade and sustainable practices. Previous experience includes multiple leadership roles within Tecnicas Reunidas and INGEPU S.L., overseeing construction management and project execution in the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors. Educational background includes a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Universitat Ramon Llull and IQS Barcelona, along with specialized training in Mechanical Engineering.
