Larry Sandler is a seasoned freelance writer with extensive experience in journalism, specializing in state and local politics and transportation. Since October 2012, Larry has contributed to WisPolitics.com and WisBusiness, while also serving as a contributing writer for Milwaukee Magazine since January 2013. Previously, from January 2014 to July 2022, Larry worked as a public policy researcher at the Wisconsin Policy Forum, contributing to award-winning studies on Milwaukee County's cultural infrastructure. Larry's journalistic career includes a long tenure at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, where responsibilities ranged from metro reporting to editing, covering various topics including public transit, local government, and education. Early career work included a role as a metro reporter at The Pantagraph, covering a broad spectrum of news topics.
