Chris Layden is the current Chair at Milwaukee Academy of Science. Prior to that, Layden served as the Vice President of New Ventures at ManpowerGroup from January 2017 to December 2018. Layden has also held the position of Managing Director at Experis from January 2013 to December 2017. Experis is a dedicated business unit of ManpowerGroup. Layden also served as the Vice Chair at Southeastern Regional Transit Authority from January 2009 to December 2011. Prior to that, Layden was the Market Leader at Jefferson Wells USA from June 2004 to March 2013. Layden began their career in public service as an intern in the Office of Edward M. Kennedy at the United States Senate from January 2003 to December 2003.

Chris Layden's educational career began with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Boston College. Chris then went on to complete a PPE at the University of Oxford.
