Sarah Beirne is a Director in Miller Cooper’s State and Local Tax Group. She draws upon 20 years of State and Local Tax experience assisting clients with state income and franchise tax matters and other state and local issues. Her career has benefited from experience at both Miller Cooper as well as a middle market national accounting firm.

Ms. Beirne specializes in state and local tax matters with a focus on state income and franchise tax and sales and use tax. Her background includes assisting clients with nexus studies, overseeing state income tax compliance and consulting projects, securing voluntary disclosure agreements for her clients and sales and use tax taxability studies. She services clients across many industries, including manufacturing, distribution and professional service firms.

Ms. Beirne earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Eastern Illinois University. Sarah is the Co-chair of the Nexia International State and Tax Group and is a frequent speaker at Nexia conferences.
