Michelle Crockett began their career in 2001, when they were hired as a Principal & Diversity Director at Miller Canfield. In 2013, they moved to the Education Achievement Authority of Michigan, where they served as General Counsel. In 2014, they returned to Miller Canfield, taking on the roles of Deputy Executive Officer; Chief Diversity Officer; Labor & Employment Principal, and Hiring Chair; Diversity & Development Principal.

Michelle Crockett received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Government from North Carolina State University. Michelle then attended Wayne State University Law School and obtained their JD in 2000.
