Clayton McSpadden is a seasoned manufacturing engineer currently employed at Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, since August 2022. Prior to this role, Clayton served as a Principal and Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Raytheon Intelligence & Space from October 2015 to July 2022. Earlier experience includes a position as Research Associate II at Lygos from June 2014 to October 2015, where Clayton focused on metabolic engineering and recombinant DNA technology to enhance the efficiency and yield of a proprietary yeast strain for industrial chemical production. Additionally, Clayton conducted research as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at UC Santa Barbara from June 2012 to September 2013, investigating intercellular competition in bacteria under the guidance of Dr. Clayton holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry-Molecular Biology from UC Santa Barbara, completed in 2013.
