Climate Ambassador Specialist at Mile High Youth Corps

Elena Martin Hernandez serves as a Climate Ambassador Specialist at Mile High Youth Corps, leading a two-year climate education campaign aimed at underserved neighborhoods in Denver, focusing on issues such as extreme heat and water scarcity. In addition to this role, Elena is involved with the U.S.-Africa Green Leaders Academy & Fellowship through 10 Billion Strong. Previous experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Global Climate Change Science and Policy at Cornell University, student manager at Cornell Dining, intern at the City Manager's Office in Englewood, and roles at Cornell Cooperative Extension and CONDESAN. Elena holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Cornell University and graduated from Noel Community Arts School.
