Zachary Howerton is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in environmental law and legal advocacy. Currently serving as Of Counsel at Milberg Coleman Bryson Phillips Grossman and as an Associate at Smouse & Mason, LLC, Zachary also provides pro bono legal assistance through Chesapeake Legal Alliance, focusing on the protection and restoration of the Chesapeake Bay. Previous roles include Judicial Law Clerk for the Senior Judges of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, Law Clerk at the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environmental and Natural Resources Division, and legal positions at various law firms. Zachary holds a Juris Doctor from Vermont Law and Graduate School, a Master of Science in Ocean and Earth Sciences from Old Dominion University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Christopher Newport University.
