Audrey Sedal is an Associate Member at Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute since October 2023 and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at McGill University since November 2021. With a research focus on robotics, soft robotics, experimental mechanics, design optimization, and machine learning for robotics, Audrey has held previous positions as a Research Assistant Professor at Toyota Technological Institute from August 2020 to December 2021 and as a Research Intern at Meta Reality Labs in 2019. Other experiences include roles at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as an Undergraduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant, and internships at Boeing, Technicolor, and Holland Bloorview. Audrey holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan (2020) and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2015).
