Austin Fugitt began their career in 2007 as an Accounting Intern for Johnson Control. In 2008, they worked as a Federal Tax Accounting Intern for Chesapeake Energy. In 2009, they returned to Barbara A. Ley, P.C. as a Staff Accountant. In 2012, they were promoted to Sr. Staff Accountant at the same company. In 2015, they were promoted again to Manager, where they helped oversee the firm's Litigation Support, Tax and Consulting practices. Austin also recruited and trained new staff, reviewed tax returns and prepared computations for Expert Reports and advised clients on complex tax situations and business engagements. In 2016, they became Corporate Controller for MIDCON Data Services, LLC, where they were responsible for overseeing the private family office that included the MIDCON operating companies. This included oversight of all accounting, financial, real estate and HR functions for 20+ companies and a staff of 50 employees in multiple states, as well as budgeting, monthly financial packages, investment analysis, forecasting and portfolio management and consulting with the executive on strategic analysis.
Austin Fugitt obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma - Price College of Business between 2005 and 2009. Austin then obtained a CPA certification from the State of Oklahoma in November 2014.
