Vinaya Kansal is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in developing innovative technology solutions across multiple industries. Currently serving as Principal Group Engineering Manager at Microsoft since April 2022, Vinaya leads Identity-focused initiatives for Microsoft Teams, significantly enhancing user experience for 360 million users. Prior to Microsoft, Vinaya held key engineering roles at Zonar Systems, where a successful over-the-air update app was developed in collaboration with Cummins, and at Nordstrom, where Vinaya drove the transformation of the supply chain through microservices and event-based systems. Early career experiences include significant contributions at Infospace, Management Science Associates, Vishwas Software, and VeriFone India, encompassing various aspects of software testing and development. Vinaya holds a Master of Computer Applications from the University of Madras.
