Karen Peñaranda BEng. MASc. EIT is a Clinical Engineering EIT at Michael Garron Hospital, overseeing the integration, deployment, inventory management, capital planning, and maintenance of medical devices and equipment in various departments. As a Clinical Business IT Lead, Karen focuses on the implementation of biomedical devices, software integration with Cerner, and asset management, successfully leading over $2 million in projects with Philips Canada and Hillrom. Previous experience includes roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Toronto Metropolitan University, Assembly Line Control Analyst at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, and various analytical positions at Michael Garron Hospital. Karen holds a Master's degree in Applied Science (MASc) in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, along with certifications in French and Spanish.
