Maka Morris

Director Of Information Technology at MHI Ship Repair & Services

Maka Morris has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. From 2006 to 2011, Maka worked at AT&T, starting as a Wireless Sales Consultant and later becoming a Store Manager and then a Business Account Manager. During this time, Maka gained expertise in retail sales and marketing, providing excellent customer service and achieving notable success in sales. From 2011 to 2017, Maka worked at Cetan Corp, where they served as an Account Manager, cultivating client relationships and generating sales leads for the BMC Workload Automation Software. They also worked as a Technical Account Manager, serving as a product expert and overseeing technical issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Since 2017, Maka has been working at MHI Ship Repair & Services, initially as an IT Project Manager and Database Administrator and currently as the Director of Information Technology. In this role, Maka is responsible for overseeing the company's IT operations. Prior to their work at AT&T and Cetan Corp, Maka worked at the Ministry of Defense of Republic of Georgia from 2003 to 2005 as a Senior Specialist, where they researched and developed medical policies for the Georgian Armed Forces and performed LAN administration duties.

Maka Morris earned a Master of Applied Leadership and Management degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, from 1996 to 2002, Maka obtained an MD degree in General Practitioner from Petre Šotadzis Sakhelobis Tbilisis Samedicino Akademia. In addition to these degrees, Maka also holds several certifications, including NIST 800-171 Controlled Unclassified Information Course from Cybrary in March 2017, Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching from Cisco in September 2016, CCENT Routing and Switching from Cisco in August 2016, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate: Windows 8 from Microsoft in June 2014, The Microsoft Authorized Education Reseller from Microsoft in April 2014, Presales Technical Specialist - Devices and Deployment, Presales Technical Specialist - Messaging, and Presales Technical Specialist - Communications - Lync from Microsoft in March 2014, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) from Microsoft in June 2013, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) - Administering Office 365 for Small Business from Microsoft in June 2013, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) - Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Customization and Configuration from Microsoft in June 2013, and ITIL® V3 Foundation from BCS/ISEB in 2012.
