Rory Murphy is an accomplished professional in government affairs, currently serving as Vice President of Government Affairs at MGM Resorts International since May 2024. Previously, Rory held the same title at the US-China Business Council from February 2022 to May 2024. Rory's experience includes working as an Associate at Squire Patton Boggs from September 2016 to February 2022 and as a Summer Associate/Law Clerk with the same firm from June 2015 to April 2016. Prior roles feature an Analyst position at the Export-Import Bank of the United States from January 2014 to April 2015 and serving as an International Trade and Nominations Advisor for the United States Senate Committee on Finance from February 2009 to January 2014. Additionally, Rory gained campaign experience as part of Friends of Max Baucus from January 2008 to November 2008. Educational credentials include a law degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Spanish, and History from Seton Hall University, supplemented by a study stint at Universitat d'Alacant in 2005.
