Jonathan Markland is a Data Engineer at Mettle since September 2021, with additional experience as a Programming Teacher at codebar since January 2020. Previously, Jonathan worked as a Data Scientist at OpenMarket, where responsibilities included creating the company's first Machine Learning platform using AWS and managing ETL pipelines with EMR. Prior to that, Jonathan held positions as a Software Development Engineer and Software Engineer at ITH Pharma, developing an internal web application in an agile environment. Jonathan gained software development experience as a front-end and back-end developer during a year abroad at the University of Cincinnati's College of Engineering and Applied Science. Jonathan is a Mathematics and Computer Science graduate from the University of Birmingham, where a Bachelor's degree was obtained in 2017.
