Steve Bieber serves as the Water Resources Program Director at the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments since 2003, overseeing vital water quality initiatives including the Anacostia Restoration Partnership. Previously held titles include Chief of Urban Watershed Programs & Homeland Security and Technical Manager for Water Resources, where responsibilities included managing complex operations and fostering regional conservation efforts in key watersheds. Prior experience includes serving as Chief of Watershed Planning and Outreach at the Maryland Department of the Environment, focusing on pollution reduction and watershed management. Steve Bieber holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Baltimore, a Master of Science in Oceanography from Old Dominion University, and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Michigan State University.
