Brett Gibson is a Partner at Brown Advisory, a global investment firm that helps families and institutions raise their future. Prior to this, Brett was Co-Founder and Managing Partner of NextGen Venture Partners, a venture capital fund that invests in emerging technology companies. Brett has served for over 20-years in the Army National Guard, where he is currently a lieutenant colonel and the commander of 1-183d Infantry Battalion, a unit that trains the next generation of service members. Brett has served in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait and is qualified as an Army Ranger.
Brett is a graduate of Harvard Business School and the McIntire Commerce School at the University of Virginia. He is a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO), Chair of the Investment Committee for the Washington National Cathedral, a member of The Economic Club of Washington, a board member for the University of Virginia Alumni Association and a Next Generation National Security Fellow at the Center for a New American Security. He lives in Arlington, VA with his wife and two young children.
Mr. Gibson serves on the Ad Hoc Committee for Public Safety, Risk Management, Environment, Social and Governance and Strategic Development Committees.
