Wilfredo Alvarez, Ph.D., serves as an Assistant Professor of Communication Studies at Metropolitan State University of Denver since August 2023. With a robust background in communication education, experience includes roles as Associate Professor of Communication at Utica University and Assistant/Associate Professor at Northeastern Illinois University. Involvement with the National Communication Association spans from 2004 to the present. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from the University of Colorado, a Master's in Interpersonal Communication from Florida State University, and a Bachelor's in Professional & Technical Communication from Rochester Institute of Technology. Previous academic roles also include a Graduate Student and Instructor at the University of Colorado and Graduate Teaching Assistant Supervisor at Florida State University.
