Andrew Bonham serves as the Chair of the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Metropolitan State University of Denver since August 2011, where responsibilities include promoting educational excellence and enhancing student research opportunities. As a Professor of Chemistry & Biochemistry, Andrew instructs courses in Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, and General Chemistry while conducting research in transcription factor kinetics and biosensor diagnostics. In leadership roles such as President of the Council of Chairs & Directors and Vice-President of the Faculty Senate, Andrew advocates for faculty interests and collaborates with administrators to foster a supportive academic environment. Previous experiences include a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of California Santa Barbara, focusing on bio-sensor design, and graduate research in biochemistry and molecular biology. Andrew holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from UC Santa Barbara and a B.A. in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder.
