Laurence Taylor has extensive experience in law enforcement, currently serving as a Temp Assistant Commissioner at the Metropolitan Police since July 2018, overseeing Professional Standards, Anti Corruption, and Vetting. Previous roles include Deputy Assistant Commissioner for Specialist Operations, Frontline Policing, and Met Operations, with responsibilities ranging from the security of airports to public protection across London. Additionally, Laurence is the National Police lead for Events Policing and Police Use of Drones under the National Police Chiefs' Council since January 2020. Prior to this, Laurence spent a decade at Sussex Police, where key positions included Assistant Chief Constable and Crime Operations Superintendent. Laurence's educational background includes a BSc Hons in Natural Sciences from Durham University and attendance at Norwich School, Norfolk.
