Derrick Powers, MBA has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. In 2008, they worked as a Telemarketer for Iona College, coordinating with Alums in regards to giving donations for the college. In 2009, they worked as a Salesperson for US Reading Solutions, where they were responsible for selling educational materials in the New York metropolitan area and consulted with clients to customize reading solutions based on their educational requirements. In 2010, they worked as a Sales and Marketing Manager for Quality Surgical Imaging, where they established contracts with hospitals throughout the Tri-State area and increased the customer base by 75%. In 2011, they worked as a Part Time Associate for Trans World Entertainment, where they were responsible for register/inventory/merchandising/sales floor/drawer count. Finally, in 2012, they worked as Public Relations/Sales/Consulting for MetroClick, where they were responsible for digital representatives for brands or businesses and backed by the same commitment to excellence in innovation.

Derrick Powers obtained their MBA from Iona University in 2012, with a focus in Business Management and Healthcare Administration Advanced Certificate. Derrick also obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from Iona University in 2010, with a focus in Business Administration and Marketing.
