Olga Smirnova, CCMP, is an experienced purchasing professional with a strong background in procure-to-pay (P2P) processes and contract management. Currently serving as a Purchasing Manager at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre since December 2019, Olga oversees a team and manages procurement for both internal and external clients, focusing on quality standards and cost savings. Previous roles include Senior Purchasing Specialist at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario and Senior Buyer at York University, where Olga honed skills in conducting purchasing activities across diverse commodities and navigating complex, politically sensitive environments. With additional experience at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and Japan Tobacco International, Olga has demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management. Olga holds a Bachelor's Degree in English and Psychology from Chuvash State Pedagogical University.
