Joan F. Walker, CHSC, currently serves as the Exhibitor Services Manager at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, overseeing the Exhibitor and Guest Services teams while fostering leadership development. With a focus on safety, Joan collaborates with the Safety Officer and operations managers to ensure compliance with Ministry of Labour regulations. Prior experience includes managing safety and operations at Aramark, where Joan prepared business plans and maintained operating standards, as well as serving as Office Manager, leading a team to enhance office efficiency. Joan began career as Assistant Credit Manager at The Fairmont Royal York, managing contracts and assessing creditworthiness. Joan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from York University and additional credentials from George Brown College.
