Coordinator Of Experiential Learning at Metro Nashville Public Schools

Heather Ihde currently serves as the Coordinator of Experiential Learning and the District Lead STEAM Coach at Metro Nashville Public Schools, a position held since August 2019. From July 2018 to June 2019, Heather functioned as a Teacher at the American International School of Cape Town. Prior to these roles, experience at Metro Nashville Public Schools spanned from 2008 to July 2018, during which Heather held positions such as Dean of Instruction, Instructional Coach, and Teacher, focusing on teacher evaluations, literacy, and standards-based grading. Additional teaching experience includes roles at Rutherford County Schools and Riverdale High School from 2003 to 2008, and at Aeon Amity in Nagoya, Japan, from 2002 to 2003. Heather Ihde obtained a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Lipscomb University, as well as a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from Harding University.
