Carolyn Bufford Funk, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Customer Experience Researcher at Los Angeles Metro, having previously held positions including Research Mentor at Lumiere Education and Senior Research Consultant at Bailiwik. With extensive experience in user experience research and design, Carolyn's contributions at SecurityScorecard resulted in over $360,000 in new revenue through the establishment of a research roadmap for a new risk and insurance vertical. Significant achievements include founding a user experience research team at a cybersecurity startup and influencing key product decisions across various organizations, including Microsoft and the PathCheck Foundation. Carolyn holds a PhD in Cognitive Psychology, as well as a Master’s Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science from UCLA.
