Zak Horn has significant experience in the telecommunications industry. Zak served as President at Metro Communications INC from 2000, where they oversaw the operation of a 3,500+ mile network and provided wholesale telecommunications services across Illinois. Currently, they are a Member of the Board of Directors at First Mid since 2020.

Zak Horn completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Economics at Saint Louis University from 1996 to 2000. Zak then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance at the Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2004 to 2006.
