Joel Mueting is a highly skilled aerospace professional with extensive experience in research and engineering roles. Currently, Joel serves as a Senior Orbits R&D Engineer at Planet, having joined the company in September 2019. Prior to this position, Joel held the role of Aerospace Engineer at Metis Technology Solutions, Inc. since July 2017. Joel's work experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Arizona from May 2014 to December 2016, as well as involvement in the OSIRIS-REx Asteroid Sample Return Mission as a Systems Engineer from June 2014 to September 2016. Earlier in Joel's career, a role as a Student Researcher at the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) was completed from December 2011 to July 2013. Joel holds a Master's degree in Systems Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, both obtained from the University of Arizona.
