Bruce Hackett has over 35 years of work experience in the field of meteorology and environmental science. Bruce began their career in 1980 as a Research Associate at the University of Bergen, where they worked until 1986. During this time, they conducted research in their field of expertise. From 1986 to 1990, Bruce worked as a Senior Research Engineer at Det Norske Veritas, focusing on physical oceanography consultancy for various industries and government agencies. Bruce then joined the Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center in 1990 as a Senior Scientist until 1995. Here, they continued their research and scientific work. Since 1995, Bruce has been a Senior Scientist at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, where they have played a significant role in the organization's scientific advancements.
Bruce Hackett's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Vanderbilt University, which they achieved from 1967 to 1971. Subsequently, from 1976 to 1979, they attended the University of Bergen (UiB) and obtained a cand. real. degree in Physical Oceanography.
