James Green has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of space science. James began their career at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center as a Magnetospheric Physicist from 1980 to 1985. James then moved to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where they held the positions of Head of National Space Science Data Center from 1985 to 1992, and later became the Chief of Space Science Data Operations Office from 1992 to 2005.
In 2006, Green joined NASA Headquarters as the Director of Planetary Science, a position they held until 2022. During their time at NASA, they also served as a Senior Advisor from January 2022 to February 2023.
In addition to their work at NASA, Green has also been involved in other organizations. James was the Company Owner of Space Science Endeavors LLC starting from February 2023. James is currently working as the Chief Scientist at MetaVisionaries since March 2022.
Throughout their career, James Green has made significant contributions to the field of space science and continues to be a prominent figure in the industry.
James Green attended the University of Iowa from 1969 to 1979, where they pursued a PhD in Space Science.
