Alberto Perdomo

Product Manager at Metabase

Alberto Perdomo has a diverse work experience spanning over different companies and roles. Alberto started their career as a Software Quality Assurance Intern at Siemens in 2001 and later worked as a Student job at Institut für Technik der Informationsverarbeitung (ITIV), KIT. In 2002, they interned as a Software Engineering Intern at DaimlerChrysler.

In 2004, Alberto served as a Research Assistant at Media Lab Europe, The European Research Partner of MIT Media Lab. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as a Software Engineer at Foton.

At Aentos, they co-founded the company in 2007 and served in various roles including Co-Founder, Project Manager, and Web Developer. Alberto mentored a team of developers and managed end-to-end project lifecycles.

Alberto shifted to being a Co-Founder and CEO at GrapheneDB in 2012. Alberto was responsible for hiring, managing product development, implementing processes, and working directly with customers. Alberto established partnerships with AWS and Heroku, scaling the company to profitability.

From 2018 to 2020, Alberto worked as a Product Manager at Auth0. Alberto later joined Prisma in 2020 as a Senior Product Manager, where they pioneered the shift to autonomous product delivery teams and played a key role in the success of the Schema ORM and Scale teams. Alberto was also Director of Product Management at Prisma from 2022 to 2023.

Currently, Alberto is employed as a Product Manager at Metabase, starting in 2023.

Alberto Perdomo completed their M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 1996 to 2003. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the "Passionate Product Leadership" certification from Jeff Patton in February 2019 and again in April 2021. In January 2016, they received the "Neo4j Certified Professional" certification from Neo Technology, Creators of Neo4j. Alberto also completed the "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" course offered by Coursera in November 2012. Most recently, in June 2021, they obtained the "Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)" certification from Scrum Alliance.
