Shuang Yang is an experienced ML Research Scientist at Meta since December 2021. Prior to this role, Shuang served as an Advisor to the CEO at NewsBreak and was a Senior Director of Engineering at Alibaba Group, leading the product and engineering for PaiLiTao and overseeing machine learning initiatives at Ant Group. Shuang's extensive experience also includes positions as Chief Scientist at Operator, where a conversational UI for e-commerce was developed, and various roles at Twitter, including Lead ML Scientist, focusing on machine learning technologies for core products. Previous research contributions were made at Microsoft Research and Yahoo! Research. Shuang holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
