Prashant Ratanchandani is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the tech industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering in Generative AI at Meta, Prashant is instrumental in the development of Llama and oversees foundational technology across the company's suite of apps. Previous roles include Vice President of Product Foundation and Dating at Facebook, where Prashant focused on enhancing user discovery, and Director of Product Foundation for the Facebook App. Prior to joining Meta, Prashant held significant positions at Microsoft from 2003 to 2018, including Partner Software Engineering Manager, leading initiatives in performance and reliability for Windows core devices. Prashant began the career as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois, following an internship at Niksun. Prashant holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois and a B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
