Osman Yucel is a Machine Learning Engineer currently working at Meta since November 2023. Previously, Osman held roles as a Machine Learning Engineer and Software Engineer at Amazon from July 2020 to January 2023, and as a Software Engineer at Groupon from September 2017 to June 2020. Academic experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Tulsa for various computer science courses from August 2012 to May 2016, and as a Research Assistant at Bogazici University, where assistance was provided in several programming and algorithm courses from September 2009 to July 2012. Osman also completed an internship at NutraSpace LLC, where user behavior modeling was developed using advanced statistical methods. Osman’s early career began at Akademi Bilgisayar Yazılım Otomasyon ve Danışmanlık A.Ş., contributing to software development for major insurance companies. Osman holds a PhD in Computer Science from The University of Tulsa, a Master of Arts in Management Information Systems from Boğaziçi University, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Information Systems Engineering and Information Systems from Istanbul Technical University and Binghamton University, respectively.
