Mark Rabkin is the current VP of Oculus at Meta. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Google from March 2004 to October 2007. While at Google, they worked on automatic systems for traffic load-balancing and failover for dozens of global datacenters and all Google services. Mark also made improvements to the Google-wide RPC framework. some of their other notable projects include Google Movies (http://google.com/movies).
Before joining Google, Mark Rabkin was a Senior Software Engineer at Intel from January 2000 to December 2004. There they worked on software for circuit design, including automatic routing via various graph algorithms, RCL extraction algorithms, and multi-GB datasets. Mark also created UI and graphics for circuit-editing tools.
Mark Rabkin's educational career includes earning a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
