Jierui (Jerry) Xie is an accomplished machine learning leader currently serving as ML Lead at Warner Bros. Discovery since January 2022, focusing on enhancing the HBO Max experience through AI and ML technologies. Prior to this role, Jierui worked at Google as an Engineering Manager from September 2014 to December 2021, where the development of smart targeting and ranking systems optimized the user experience for various Google products. Jierui's earlier experience includes positions as a Staff Engineer at Samsung R&D Center, a Senior Software Engineer at Oracle, and internships at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. Jierui earned a PhD in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, completing studies between 2007 and 2012.
