Ehsan Shahrian is an experienced AR/VR Machine Learning Engineer at Meta since February 2024, previously serving as a Staff Applied ML/DL Engineer at Qualcomm from January 2019 to January 2024. Ehsan has a strong background in machine learning and deep learning, having worked as a Senior ML/DL Software Engineer at Siemens Healthineers and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UC San Diego, where contributions included developing a fully automated system for diagnosing retinal diseases using deep convolutional neural networks. Earlier roles include Postdoctoral Researcher at the Medical University of Vienna and Research Scientist at Adobe, known for developing advanced image and video matting models. Ehsan holds a PhD in Computer Vision from Nanyang Technological University Singapore and is currently pursuing an Artificial Intelligence Graduate Certificate at Stanford University.
