Britta Hummel is an experienced engineering professional with a robust background in mixed reality and computer vision. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager for Mixed Reality Incubation at Meta since November 2019, Britta has held advisory roles at Naked Labs and Skydio, and co-founded 3PlayGrounds, which aims to reinvent group travel. Prior experience includes directing engineering at Aquifi, contributing as a researcher to Microsoft's Project HoloLens, and working on computer vision at Canesta, which was acquired by Microsoft. Britta's academic credentials include a PhD in Computer Science from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, with research focused on scene understanding frameworks.
