Don Pool is an experienced construction and operations executive with a strong background in managing large-scale projects within the education sector. As the Executive Director of Construction Services at Mesquite Independent School District since April 2016, Don Pool oversees the construction and renovation of over 60 buildings and stadiums, including a $325 million bond project and the completion of a $300 million bond. Previously, Don Pool served as the Executive Director of Operations at Wylie ISD, where responsibilities included managing facility construction, overseeing multiple departments, and achieving Energy Star recognition for many schools. Don Pool's career also includes leadership roles in residential homebuilding and development, with significant experience in project management, land acquisitions, and customer service. Don Pool holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology, with a focus on Construction Management and Real Estate, from the University of North Texas.
