Brad Gowgiel

Senior IT Project Manager - Vice President at Mesirow Financial

Brad Gowgiel is a PMP-certified Senior IT Project Manager with extensive experience in managing enterprise software development projects and infrastructure projects. Brad has worked at reputable companies such as Morningstar, Mesirow Financial, BMO Nesbitt Burns, Duff & Phelps, and Chicago Title & Trust.

At Morningstar, Brad assumed the position of Senior IT Project Manager in November 2016. Prior to that, they served as the Senior IT Project Manager - Vice President at Mesirow Financial, where they reported directly to the CIO and led cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives. Brad also worked as an IT Project Manager at Mesirow Financial, where they successfully delivered technology solutions to various business units and maintained close communication with clients and project teams to manage expectations and minimize project risks.

Before joining Mesirow Financial, Brad served as the Application Support Manager at BMO Nesbitt Burns for 12 years. In this role, they managed a software development group and was responsible for planning, monitoring, and allocating resources for multiple projects. Brad also had direct accountability over operations and support budgets for different lines of business.

Brad began their career as a Programmer/Analyst at Duff & Phelps and Chicago Title & Trust, where they gained foundational knowledge in software development and analysis. With their vast experience and project management skills, Brad has consistently demonstrated their ability to deliver successful outcomes and effectively manage complex projects.

Brad Gowgiel, PMP obtained a BA degree in Computer Science from Augustana College from 1987 to 1991. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including the Claritas® Investment Certificate from the CFA Institute in 2015, the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2013, and the Series 99 - Operations Professional certification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in 2012.
